Default Earliest memories of the Gameboy

For me the earliest memory was a classmate in school receiving one for his birthday, a week before official release with a copy of Tetris and Super Mario Bros, Needless to say he became pretty much the most popular kid in school for months.

When i eventually got my own, i had three games which i can remember clearly, every little sfx, tune and graphic, those three games were :

Metroid 2 : Return of Samus
Tetris (did ANYONE not have a copy of this?)
    Boxxle

Metroid 2 had me glued to that lcd screen like a fiend for a good 4 months (i wasn't a very good gamer back then!)

What games do you guys remember most?

Unfortunately I wasn't old enough to want a Gameboy; so the GB Color was my first. SpongeBob SquarePants was my first XD Obviously terrible but soon traded in for Pokemon Blue. Thus began my addiction to gaming lol.

I have a lot of early memories of my gameboy. It was the only system I had for a long time, and managed to somehow outlast my super nes and Sega saturn.

-The first game, (That I hated) was F1 race that came with it for christmas.
-I played Pokemon Red version all the way through a 5 hour drive late at night with a flash light.
-I later did the same thing with harvest moon
-Pokemon Yellow version was my all time most played game

Mm, Heroes of might n magic, Robopon, Pokemon Trading card game, Magi Nation, Final fantasy Legend, Legend II, Legend III, and Adventure. All of these were great games if you enjoy classic gaming.

Mine was a GameBoy Color that a received during Christmas - I had my heart set on the teal model, but I ended up with yellow. I wouldn't want any other color now.

    - First game I owned was Conker's Pocket Tales, great fun, but never finished, includes blister-inducing minigames that you have to clear to progress.
    - First game played on the system was Pokemon Yellow, a fresh US-release version from my aunt (for my brother) before I even had the GBC.
    - Pokemon Red with startup color edits and abuse of the Mew-glitch to get things like wild Lv7 Nidoqueen, hell yes. :D
    - Pokemon Silver, still the best game of the series if you ask me. Sadly, its internal battery died.
    - Zelda: Oracle of Age + Oracle of Time. So much fun with these.
